Thank you for submitting "Aunt Pokie" for Creative Nonfiction’s Childhood issue and contest. We received nearly 800 submissions, and we've really appreciated reading the great variety of work. It's made competition for space quite tough, though, and after considering your essay carefully we are very sorry to be writing with the news that we will not be able to publish it in the magazine.
